Rep. Slaughter announces $1.6 million in funding for affordable housing

More help is on the way for struggling families.Representative Louise Slaughter announced that more than $1.6 million is headed to the Rochester area to provide affordable housing.

The money will be split between PathStone, Home HeadQuarters, NeighborWorks Rochester and the West Side Neighborhood Housing Agency.

Lawmakers say this will help provide a home for struggling families and save them money for other necessities.
