What would you do with 127,000 boxes of cookies?
Some local girl scouts know exactly what to do with them.

Saturday was cookie delivery day. News10NBC was there to see tractor trailers drop off the boxes including some favorites like thin mints, shortbread cookies and peanut butter patties.

Organizers say the cookie sales help the scouts learn lessons and held pay for trips and other scouting events throughout the year.

“The girls really like selling cookies because this gives them to money to raise money for their trips, whatever goal they'd set for themselves,” said Christina Fredette and Arika Reilly, from the Fairport Girl Scouts chapter.

Scouts will be delivering the cookies to customers within the next few weeks.
