The Rochester Police Department says there may be a link between a stabbing and shooting overnight in the city.

Police say they were called to Rochester General Hospital just before 2 a.m. for a man that had arrived with a stab wound. After officers got to the hospital, investigators say they learned that the 27-year-old male victim was attacked on North Clinton Avenue at Norton Street.

Shortly after the stabbing victim arrived, police then say a 19-year-old man who had been shot also arrived at the hospital. Investigators say they believe he was also shot on the North Clinton Avenue and Norton Street area.

Police are still looking to see if these incidents are possibly related.
