Greece man charged with bank robbery in Pittsford

A Greece man has been arrested and charged for a bank robbery in Pittsford.

Joseph H. Cumbo, 34, of Greece, is charged with robbery and grand larceny.

Sheriff’s deputies say Cumbo walked into the Bank of America on North Main Steet in Pittsford on January 2 and passed a note to a teller. Sheriff’s deputies say he demanded cash and threatened that he had a gun.  At the time of the robbery, sheriff’s deputies say Cumbo was wearing a blonde wig and aviator sunglasses.

Cumbo was arraigned in Pittsford Town Court and sent to the Monroe County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.
