A Rochester man found guilty of shooting and killing a man and wounding another was sentenced Tuesday.
Michael Williams was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison for the shooting death of Alexander Marquez and the assault of Christian Ramos on January 5, 2012.
Williams and a 15-year-old accomplice tried to rob Marquez and Ramos in a park on Bauer Street. A fight ensued and both men were shot. Marquez died from his injuries. Ramos was shot in the leg and shoulder and survived the attack.
Williams’ accomplice pled guilty to manslaughter in November 2013. He is serving a sentence of three and a half to 10 years in prison.
