Jeffrey Newland was reported missing by his family on October 21. Later that day, his car was found, unoccupied on Golf Avenue in Pittsford. It was the next day that police found his body in a cornfield, just a few hundred feet from his car. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

Newland’s family has established a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing Newland. Anyone with information that could be helpful to investigation is urged to call the Monroe County Office of the Sheriff at (585) 753-4178 or Rochester Area Crime Stoppers at (585) 423-9300.
