It’s been nearly five months since a man from Fairport was found shot to death in a cornfield and now his family has announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
Jeffrey Newland was reported missing by his family on October 21. Later that day, his car was found, unoccupied on Golf Avenue in Pittsford. It was the next day that police found his body in a cornfield, just a few hundred feet from his car. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
Newland’s family has established a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing Newland.
