As Target continues to face criticism over a massive credit card breach, a top executive for the company has stepped down.

Target Chief Information Officer Beth Jacob resigned Wednesday. In a statement from the company, officials said the retailer is working to overhaul its information security structure after that breach that compromised information for as many as 70 million customers.

That company says it will be conducting an external search for a CIO to help the company through the next steps in fixing their security systems.
