A familiar red banner is returning to newsstands Friday. Newsweek Magazine is back in print after going online only at the end of 2012.

IBT Media is positioning the once-ubiquitous weekly news magazine as a niche, premium product, with higher-quality paper and printing practices. That also comes with a higher price tag of $7.99 per copy or around $150 for an annual subscription.

The publisher's goal is to circulate 100,000 copies in the United States and another 100,000 copies worldwide.

Newsweek was first published in 1933.In the early 1990s, it had a worldwide circulation of 3.3 million.
