A Geneva man is charged with leaving a 4-year-old child in his car for 20 minutes while shopping in Walmart then leaving the store without paying.

Police charged John T. Holly, 23, with endangering the welfare of a child and petit larceny after the incident on Friday, March 7. Police say Holly stole a Phillips loudspeaker valued at nearly $45.

Holly was issued an appearance ticket for both charges and will appear in Geneva Town Court at a later date. Child Protective Services will also be assisting in the case.
