Interstate 390 northbound will be closed between West Henrietta Road and Scottsville Road starting Monday night.
The expressway will be closed from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Crews will be erecting steel girders. The work is part of the project to build an entrance ramp from Kendrick Road to Interstate 390 northbound on the north side of the expressway alongside the Erie Canal in Brighton.
I-390 will also be reduced to a single northbound lane at 7:00 p.m. each night.
A single north bound lane will be re-opened at 5 a.m. All lanes will be reopen by 6 a.m. each morning.
When I-390 is closed, northbound traffic will be detoured to exit at East Henrietta Road (Exit 16) and will be directed to continue straight to West Henrietta Road, left to Jefferson Road, right to Scottsville Road to re-enter I-390 north. The entrance ramp from West Henrietta/Mt. Hope (Rt.15) to I-390 northbound will be closed and motorists should follow the detour. Southbound traffic on I-390 will not be impacted.
Work will take place each night. The work had been scheduled to take place in mid-February, but was postponed to due to weather conditions. The project is expected to be complete this fall.
