This weather made it tough fighting for firefighters in the town of Ontario earlier Wednesday. Several people are homeless after a fire broke out inside a house that contains several apartments.

It happened here on Ridge Road just before noon.

No one inside the home was injured, but a couple of firefighters who rushed to the home suffered minor injuries. They were treated at the scene.

Investigators spent much of this day there. We have a call in to them to find out what caused it, but we do know the snow and cold made it tough to put this fire out

Lt. Aron Thompson, Ontario Fire Company, said, "It hampers everybody trying to fight the fire freezes everything up pretty quick. It  just makes it tough to fight."

The cause is under investigation.
