With heavy winds and snow whipping all across our region air traffic is being affected.

Officials at the Greater Rochester International Airport tell us 28 departures have been canceled. That's 38-percent of daily flights in Rochester. Right now, the airport is still open and a few flights are still on schedule. We're told the airport’s snow and ice control plan is in effect and staff members are working two 12-hour shifts.

Be sure to keep in touch with the airlines to find out the status of future flights as the massive storm continues throughout the afternoon and into the night.
