Travel advisory remains in effect in Monroe County

A travel advisory remains in effect through Monroe County through the Wednesday night.

The County’s Emergency Operations Center was partially activated at 12 p.m. and a travel restriction was put in place effective 1 p.m. and will remain in effect. The county will continue to monitor the situation throughout the evening. They are not banning travel at this time. 

County Executive Maggie Brooks thanked residents for listening to the warnings and staying off the roads.

All residents are advised to continue to take the proper steps needed to prepare for winter weather-related challenges.
