People still head downtown despite blizzard

Despite officials urging people to stay off the roads, some people still had business to tend to and got out to do that even as the snow was flying.

So people came downtown saying they wanted to make the most of the day before things with the storm really picked up. Others had to be out here for work.

Close the city down. That’s exactly what happened just after News10NBC spoke to city hall employee, Wynadett Cox. Her building closed at noon and that means Cox was heading home.

Not everyone had to be downtown for work, but some people still decided to come.

Kevin Burke said, “This is nothing, this is Rochester. When I was little, there was 10 feet of snow everywhere and I wasn't afraid, I don't know why everyone freaks out.”
