It's been just as bad south of Rochester. In Victor and the eastern suburbs, the snow has not stopped all day. It’s been snowing steady and the wind continues to whip up making visibility difficult.
On Main Street in Victor, traffic is a fraction of what it is during a normal rush hour. The plows have been out all day trying to keep the roads clear. News10NBC saw a lot of people out there trying to keep
their driveways clear as well, whether it was with a shovel or a snow blower or a plow service.
Because of the blizzard, many businesses were closed. Even Eastview Mall was shut down. Many people did head out for work Wednesday morning, but as conditions worsened, it's clear many called it a day early.
News10NBC saw a few motorists struggling with the slick conditions. We caught up with people coping with all of this just 10 days before the start of spring.
Jeff Stout, Victor, said, "Just trying to get through the storm you know, get the driveway clear. That's about it you know. That thing's not much of a snow blower there. Trying to get through it and got to do a little bit by hand."
Jeff also said he's happy for this weather because he loves to snowmobile.
