Truck driver ticketed for crash involving school bus in Livingston County

Emergency crews were called to the scene of crash involving a pickup truck and school bus in Livingston County Thursday morning.

The crash happened on Miller Road in West Sparta just after 9:00 a.m.

Sheriff’s deputies say the driver of a pickup truck, Charles Gibson, 75, of West Sparta, had pulled out from a residential driveway, striking a Dansville Central Bus carrying 13 students. There was minor damage to both vehicles. There were no reported injuries.

Gibson was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way to a vehicle.
