A York man is facing charges after sheriff’s deputies say he was driving drunk during a travel ban in Livingston County on Wednesday.
Joseph W. Benson, 45, of York, is charged with DWI, refusal to take a breath test and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
Sheriff’s deputies working during Wednesday’s storm had contact with Benson after he drove to a local gas station in Greigsville, NY in an intoxicated condition. Deputies determined that he drove to the gas station, while there was a travel ban in effect that closed the roadways.
Benson was arraigned in the Town of York Court and will return to court at a later date.
