Pittsford Sutherland, Bishop Kearney Girls Basketball advance to state championship

Two local girls basketball teams have advanced to play for a state championship.

Pittsford Sutherland will play for the state championship on Saturday night. The Knights beat Maine-Endwell 43-29 in the Class A state semi-finals. The Knights will play Saturday at 7:00 p.m. for the championship.

Bishop Kearney will also play for a state championship on Saturday. The Kings beat Woodlands in the Class B state semi-finals,  71-58. Bishop Kearney is the reigning Class C state champions, but were moved up to Class B before the start of the season. The Kings will play Section III's Utica Notre Dame on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
