We want to make sure you know what to expect when you come down to the East End, to watch Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
We can tell you city crews are working all through the night, to clear the snow from the parade route. Friday night, there are 2 crews working at different ends of the parade route clearing it.
However, these crews are up against a challenge. The parade starts in just hours, and it is a Friday night. That means people are at the bars, cars are parked along the parade route. That’s making it tricky for the front loaders and dump trucks to safely be on East Avenue and clearing the streets.
But the crews says they are doing all they can.
Tom D'Agostino, Assistant Operations Superintendent, for The City of Rochester said, “Some cars in front of some restaurants and bars. I certainly know how they feel they want that snow removed. I am going to go knocking on some doors, hopefully we can get some cars moved in a couple small spots where there isn't as much as I’d like."
These crews are going to be out here till the early hours of the morning. They hope to have the snow cleared.
