Eleven Nazareth College students will discuss ways to improve the world at a national conference this weekend.

On Monday, the students presented their project to Congresswoman Louise Slaughter as they prepare for their trip.

One student says he wants to educate the community about how our goods have an impact on places on the other side of the world.

Nick Gerbino, Nazareth College student, said, “Because there are such a wide variety of things we can buy nowadays, I think it's important for people to know where they're coming from. You know, it's not just from the store to your home. It’s coming from the other side of the world.”

The conference will be held in Phoenix. More than 1,000 students from more than 300 universities across the country will be attending.
