Former nurse pleads guilty to not providing proper care to patients

A former nurse accused of not providing proper care to some of her patients entered a guilty plea Wednesday.

Investigators say Lisa Labadee, a licensed practical nurse, did not give vital medication to a resident at the nursing home where she worked. The state says she also attempted to cover it up by falsifying the medical records.

The state says it happened when Labadee worked at the Beikirch Care Center in Brockport. The court papers also say Labadee failed to test at least four residents for their blood sugar levels which is a critical part of their care.
