Rochester community members are invited to hear proposed improvements to the Mount Read Boulevard Corridor during an open house Thursday at the UA local 13 Offices and Training Center on 1850 Mount Read Boulevard. The meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
City's Architecture and Engineering Bureau will present the initial plans to make the area of Mount Read Boulevard from the Buffalo Road traffic circle to Stone Road safer and easier for drivers and pedestrians to travel. Officials are also looking for feedback from residents and property owners located along the proposed construction route.
Public feedback received at Thursday's meeting will help officials from the State Department of Transportation, Monroe County and Town Of Greece in determining the final plans for the area. Those plans are expected to be released in May.
