How should you save for retirement?

Do you have money set aside for your golden days?
More than 70-percent of people who don’t have a retirement plan, such as an IRA or 401k, have less than $1,000 in savings for retirement. That's according to a new national survey by the non-profit Employee Benefit Research Institute and Greenwald and Associates.
So what should you do? Participate in your company's retirement plan at least as much as they will match.
Make a plan. Figure out how much you will need for retirement and calculate how long it will take you to save up that amount.
Go to a certified financial planner if you need help figuring it out. Seeing the actual numbers often helps encourage people to save.
