New details about Irondequoit firefighter injured in a car crash

News10NBC has learned new details about an Irondequoit firefighter injured in a car crash. The St. Paul Fire Chief says the firefighter was off-duty when the crash happened last Saturday. He was wearing his uniform.

The firefighter, whose name is not being released at this time, was taken to the hospital after the crash on Saint Paul Boulevard in Irondequoit. His fellow firefighters responded to the scene.

News10NBC is working to find out how badly he was injured, along with his current status with the fire department and what led up to the crash.
