A day in the life of Cinderella

Created: 03/23/2014 7:18 PM WHEC.com

Little princes and princesses spent the day living out the story of Cinderella and her prince. They even got to take pictures with Cinderella and her prince.

Organizers say the event is a good way for dancers to engage with their audience in a different way.

Jamey Leverett, Artistic Director, Rochester City Ballet, said, “Doing something interactive is amazing for the dancers, Typically, they're up on stage and there's kind of a fourth wall and the kids are in the audience enjoying it and the dancers are on the stage.  This way, the dancers really get to see how much their presence and what they do for a living impacts these young children."

The Rochester City Ballet’s performance of Cinderella will be at Nazareth College Arts Center on May 17 and 18.
