One is a firefighter who was injured in the West Webster tragedy and the other got to be the top fire official in Rochester. Now they are both new members of the Eastridge High School Hall of Fame.
The school inducted former Rochester Fire Chief Salvatore Mitrano and firefighter Ted Scardino during a ceremony at the school Thursday afternoon. This is 26th annual induction ceremony.
Scardino, who graduated from Eastridge in 1982, talked about what it was like being back at his alma mater.
Ted Scardino, Eastridge Class of 1982, said, “I graduated 32 years ago. It is like, ‘wow, these are young kids’ and you kind of look back and wish you were young like that again.”
Two other Eastridge alumni are now a part of the hall of fame. They are Susan Daansen Sander and Kimberly Hill Lasher.
