City Hall names new office of public integrity director

A 26-year veteran of the FBI is taking over as director of the city's office of public integrity.

City Hall announced Tuesday that Timothy Weir has been appointed to the position effective May 5. Weir served in several capacities within the FBI, including managing investigations of white collar crimes.

In his new role with the city, Weir, who has a master’s in business administration from the Simon Business School, will be responsible for investigating reports of fraud, corruption, waste and abuse within city government.
