It's a study that may give hope to people with Parkinson’s disease.

The University of Rochester is partnering with Northwestern University to lead a multi-million dollar clinical trial. They received a $23 million grant from the National Institutes of Health. They’ll be looking at the drug Isradipine. One of the reasons researchers suspect it may help Parkinson’s Disease patients is because studies have shown people taking it aren’t as likely to have the disease.

Dr. Kevin Biglan from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry spoke with News10NBC’s Janet Lomax about this study. To see the interview, press play on the video player.
