Canandaigua City Council is slated to vote on a final site plan for phase one of the North Shore project Thursday.

Phase one will be constructed on the western end of Lakeshore Drive and includes a mix of retail stores and apartments. The entire project implemented in five stages will span 21 acres on Lakeshore Drive.

City Council is also scheduled approve the final payment in the eminent domain case that required the city to pay $300,000 to a former Lakeshore Drive property owner after the city acquired 5.4 acres of his land using eminent domain in 2009. According to the city, the money will be paid by funds set aside from the property’s new owner, David Genecco.
