Don't put yourself at risk for a spring break-in during your spring break trip.
State Farm offers the following advice to keep your home and property safe while you’re away:

  • Install light timers. It's an inexpensive way to give the impression you're at home.
  • Turn down the ringer on your home phone, or forward calls to your mobile phone. A loud, unanswered phone is a tip-off that you're not home.
  • Keep valuables out of sight. Move any tempting items such as jewelry boxes and flat screen TVs away from windows.
  • Don't share your itinerary on social media and wait to share photos of your trip until after you've returned home.
