The Canandaigua City Council has unanimously approved the North Shore project, according to our news partners at the Messenger Post.

The $116 million development plan spanning 21 acres at the north end of Canandaigua Lake will be constructed in five phases over the next few years.

Phase one, to be constructed on the western end of Lakeshore Drive, includes a mix of retail stores and apartments.

According to MPN, cleanup for the project could begin in June and should take six to eight months. Construction would start following the cleanup period.
