An Irondequoit Police officer is recovering after being hurt in a crash involving his patrol car.

News10NBC is told the officer is at Strong Hospital with leg injuries and police are still looking for another car involved in the crash.

Rochester Police say the crash happened around 2:45 a.m. Friday, at the corner of Norton and Carter Streets on Rochester's north side.

Rochester Police say Irondequoit officers had been pursuing a car they say was stolen, and the driver didn't stop until they got into the city.

Police say there was a patrol car on either side of the suspect's car. As officers were about to get out, they say the suspect sped off, clipping the patrol cars and forcing a door to slam on the leg of an officer.
