We've been asking you all week to nominate and vote for your favorite fish fry around town for Rochester Rocs and this morning, we revealed the winner -- the Original Char Broil House on Island Cottage Road in Greece!

The other finalists for “Best Fist Fry" were The Original Crab Shack in Brighton, 2 Ton Tony’s in Irondequoit, Captain Jim’s Fish Market in Rochester and Davies Seafood in Greece.
The Char Broil was established more than 50 years ago. We spoke with current owner Dave Palumbo! His grandfather started it all in 1962.

Dave even met his wife Stacey at the Char Broil when she started working there as a teen. “It's all I know. I've been doing this since I was a kid.”

The Char Broil House serves up your standard breaded and beer-battered fish and Dave came up with his own specialty – haddock casino!

Congratulations to the Palumbos and their team at Char Broil in Greece.

Up next for Rochester Rocs is Best Irish Pub! We need you to tell us where you can find the best pint of Guinness or corned beef and cabbage. Submit your nominations until 10 am. Tuesday.
