Jim Kelly's battle with oral cancer will intensify beginning on Monday when he is scheduled for his first round of chemotherapy, but Friday night Kelly showed that treatment won't stop him from enjoying a night in New York City with his family.

The Hall of Famer was taking in the Knicks game. It was Kelly's first public appearance since announcing his cancer has returned. The ovation he received from the Garden crowd proved it's more than Western New York that loves #12.

Kelly took in the game game with his wife Jill and daughter Erin. The three were shown on the Jumbotron and that's when New York City gave their support to Jim and his battle with cancer.

During the game, Kelly spoke with Jill martin of the MSG Network.

Martin asked, "How are you feeling?"

Kelly told her, "Sometimes good, sometimes bad. I brought my daughter, she made the Dean's list so I had to give her a surprise in school and I'm proud of her. We have such an outpour of prayers, which I need and support not only in WNY, but all over and it makes me feel good because my big battle starts Monday when I start chemo. I hope when it's over, they get it right now, we are praying for a miracle."

The start of what we hope is a miracle begins on Monday.
