Our partners at the Messenger Post report some 12-million households nationwide now pay more than 50 percent of their annual incomes for housing according the federal government.

Messenger Post Senior Reporter Julie Sherwood examines this trend in a two-part Messenger exclusive. She talks with a family in Ontario County where 44 percent of renters fall into that "cost burdened" category.
