The Yates County Sheriff's Department says a man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight after a crash in Middlesex Saturday night.

Deputies say 37-year-old Steven Rippey suffered internal injuries and a head injury following a crash just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday night on Bare Hill Road between Vine Valley and Van Epps roads. Investigators tell News10NBC during the incident Rippey's car left the road, overturned and he was ejected.

The Middlesex Fire Department and Canandaigua Ambulance both responded to the crash and Mercy Flight was used to take Rippey to the hospital. Deputies say they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
