Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash in Bloomfield on Wednesday morning.

Deputies say 46-year-old Nicole Erlichman of Hemlock was traveling east when she ran a stop sign at the intersection of Gauss Road and Oakmount Road and crashed into 33-year-old Leonel Melendez of Canandaigua.

Erlichman received a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign. Melendez was ticketed after deputies say he was driving on a suspended license.

Gauss Road was temporarily shut down while the vehicles were towed off the road.
