A vigil to remember a local teen hit and killed by a car while crossing a busy street last night was held Wednesday night.

Brittany Burgio was 17-years-old. She was just steps from her home, when she was hit by a car driven by 23-year-old Osbaldo Gonzalez of Rochester while crossing Dewey Avenue near the city line.

Friends and family gathered together to remember Burgio and to pay their respects.

Investigators say they did question Gonzalez at the scene. He was ticketed for having an invalid license.
