A new primary care clinic is coming to provide state-of-the-art health care to our community and give RIT students hands-on experience in the medical field.
Today officials broke ground on the new Clinical Health Sciences Center on the RIT campus in Henrietta. We're told it will house a primary-care clinic run by Rochester General Hospital. It will also house the new Wegmans School of Nutrition and allow RIT to expand its College of Health Sciences and Technology.
Dr. Daniel Ornt said, “Altogether this new space will significantly enhance RIT's delivery of education, that will drive high-quality patient care, health care innovation, and applied biomedical research that will form the foundation of modern health care systems of tomorrow.”
The 45,000-square foot facility is scheduled to open in the fall of 2015.
