The Rochester Fire Department says as many as twelve people may have been displaced by a fire on the city's north side.

Firefighters were called to Kosciusko Street off of Hudson Avenue just after 6 p.m. for reports of a fire. When crews arrived, they found a working fire on the second story of a four family home. Crew worked hard and were able to contain the fire and damage to the second floor.

Firefighters tell News10NBC that no one was in the apartment at the time of the fire and everyone got out safe. A dog was removed from the first floor by firefighters.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire and say as many as twelve people may have been displaced by the fire, but some may be allowed back after the first floor is cleared.
