A psychiatrist accused of moving the body of a missing man to his backyard is due back in court Thursday.
A judge is expected to decide on a request from Dr. William Lewek’s lawyers to put their client in the judicial diversion program. If accepted, Dr. Lewek’s charges and possible sentence could be reduced.
Dr. Lewek is charged with tampering with evidence and possession of cocaine. Police say they found the body of Matthew Straton partially buried in Lewek's backyard in the Park Avenue neighborhood in January.
News10NBC wants to be clear that Dr. Lewek is not charged with Straton's death.
