Police ID man shot on City's west side

Police have identified the man who was shot on Sawyer Street near Thurston Road Wednesday night.

Officers say 22-year-old James Huff was shot around 9:30 p.m. According to police, Huff was walking on Sawyer Street when he was approached by two men in dark clothing. One of the suspects had a gun. Investigators say the men argued, and then one of the suspects shot the victim in his upper torso. The suspects fled the scene.

No word on what the men were arguing about.

Huff victim was taken to Strong Hospital for treatment and he is expected to be okay.
