Friday marks one of the most reflective days of the year for Christians around the world.
Rochester residents will gather this Good Friday to honor their neighbors and others touched by violence during the 6th Annual Ecumenical Good Friday Cross Walk for Solidarity and Justice. The walk begins at 8:45 a.m. at The Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Church on Portland Avenue. Participants will make stops in the neighborhood for prayer. The walk around downtown Rochester is expected to take about two hours.
St. Joseph House, The House of Mercy and Rochester Pax Christi will also host a walk beginning at 11 a.m. outside the Kodak Tower on State Street. Organizers say participants will walk the stations of the cross to bring attention to issues facing those in need.
