Volkswagen said it is recalling more than 26,000 new 2014 cars in the U.S. because faulty o-ring seals can leak transmission fluid that could spark a fire.
The recall affects the model year 2014 Jetta, Beetle convertible and Passat with a 1.8T engine and torque converter.
VW said the recall is beginning this week and dealers will replace the o-ring seals in the transmission oil cooler. VW said it is unaware of any crashes or fires related to the issue.
