The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says a woman had to be airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital following a one-car crash in the town of Huron.

That crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. Friday night. Deputies say 51-year-old Maria Villordo was headed east on Ridge Road when she lost control of her vehicle and went into a ditch. She suffered serious injuries, according to investigators, and had to be taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Deputies say the cause of the crash is not yet know. Wallington Fire, Alton Fire, Sodus Center Ambulance and Sodus Town ALS all assisted at the scene.
