Man arrested after hit and run on Portland Avenue

Rochester Police say they have made an arrest in connection with a hit and run crash in Rochester.

Police say a man has been charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident after a crash on Portland Avenue near Trust Street. The crash happened on Sunday around 9:20 p.m.

Police say the 50-year-old suspect rear ended a pickup truck and drove off. He was later found about three blocks away in an empty lot. According to investigators, he had driven into a wooden pole. News10NBC has learned the driver of the pickup truck was taken to Rochester general hospital with back pain.
