A Rochester Police sergeant is recovering Monday morning after he was injured while trying to break up an early morning fight.

Police were called to East Main Street near the Main Street Armory around 2 a.m. for a group of people fighting. Investigators say a police sergeant suffered a minor injury and 21-year-old Anthony Capers suffered cuts on his neck during the fight. Both are expected to make a full recovery.

No one has been arrested in connection with either injury but three people, 23-year-old Jahrell Williams, 23-year-old Timothy Manley and 21-year-old Michael Parnell – all of Rochester, were charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the fight.
