Crews worked to put out a brush fire on Pinnacle Hill in Rochester near an area where TV and radio transmitter towers are located, including one for News10NBC.

Neighbors called 911 around 11 p.m. Monday after seeing the flames. Firefighters say because it is a remote area and the road that leads to it is small, it was a challenge getting trucks to the scene. Officials say a back up crew was called to help. News10NBC has learned firefighters were able to put out the fire before any broadcast equipment was damaged.

Investigators are trying to figure out how the fire started.
