The fight against child abuse is taking center stage in Rochester.

A two-day summit by the Bivona Child Advocacy Center is underway at the Riverside Convention Center.

Hundreds of people are attending to learn more on how to protect our children. Officials say the conference has grown tremendously over the years and everyone there is important because the issue of child sexual abuse is so involved.

Mary Whittier, Bivona Child Advocacy Center Executive Director, said, "Child abuse is a very complex problem. We can't expect just the legal system, just the medical system, just the social service system to fix the problem. It really takes a multi-disciplinary team of professionals all working together for the solution."
