Today is Earth Day and in honor of the annual celebration of the environment, students from across the state will come together at RIT to present their solutions for environmental issues at their respective campuses.

This is the third annual Research & Development Student Competition at the institute. Teams were required to find an environmental issue at their school and then come up with an innovative plan to reduce their college's environmental footprint.

It's part of RIT’s Earth Day event. The competition is from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Golisano Institute for Sustainability on the RIT campus.
